The VBA is partnering with representatives from the US Attorney’s Office, Adult Protective Services, local and federal law enforcement, and the American Bankers Association to develop a seminar for anyone responsible for implementing training on spotting and reporting potential elder financial exploitation.

conversations about the latest industry updates. Six Burgers
with Bruce events will be held around the state, one in each of
the six regions of the EBL.
Through the use of highly qualified instructors and a challenging
curriculum, the VBA School of Bank Management is designed to
provide a multi-dimensional educational experience in banking.
Upon completion of three one-week summer sessions and eight home
study problems, students will have developed a range of skills
that should both enhance current performance and qualify them as
candidates for advancement.
American Bankers Association (ABA), Virginia Bankers Association (VBA) and Maryland Bankers Association (MBA) are joining together to host the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Summit for bankers nationwide. This virtual event is designed to help bankers become an agent of change for the banking industry and for the community.
The VBA is committed to providing banks with the resources needed to build and develop strong teams of banking professionals. This past summer, 16 banks participated in the VBA Internship Program across the Commonwealth, hosting 53 students from different colleges and universities. Based on the feedback we received from the interns at the end of the summer, 100% said that the internship made them more interested in the banking industry.
This conference is designed for emerging banking leaders and members of the Virginia Bankers Association Emerging Bank Leaders (EBL) group. This conference will give Emerging Bank Leaders the opportunity to share ideas and network with peers from across the state. You do not have to be an EBL member to attend.
