2024 VBA/ABA Washington Summit Recap
March 18-20, 2024

Post Matt Bruning Henry Watkins

Last month, more than 1,000 bankers from across the country attended the VBA/ABA Washington Summit, with nearly 70 attendees from Virginia. Summit attendees heard from public officials and issue experts on the status of the nation’s economy and banking system.

Virginia bankers met with Senators Mark Warner and Tim Kaine as well as Congressman Don Beyer and House of Representatives staff members to discuss issues including credit union oversight, credit and debit card interchange, and misguided attempts to undercut consumer choice by limiting bank fees.

A special thank you to FHLBank Atlanta for hosting our joint reception with the Maryland Bankers Association and DC Bankers Association on Tuesday night during the Summit.
